We have always installed the natural linoleums such as Marmoleum and I suppose 100% woolen carpets could be considered natural but you never know what other ingredients are included. However when we started fitting natural fibres we really started to appreciate the advantages of true natural products
This flight of stairs has been covered with a heavy boucle' sisal the natural hue is used to emphasise the features of the room whilst giving a comfortable feel to the area. Conversely by putting the sisal on the wall you make the stair stand out.
There are many benefits to using natural products the main one is of course that by employing these products on your projects you are helping the environment as they come from sustainable resources. They are usually grown in areas their where their production provides badly needed employment and do not incorporate any petroleum based ingredients.
On a more personal level the inherent properties of these products mean that as side effects you reduce your personal carbon footprint and get a healthier living or working environment
