Maintenance Instructions
- Highest Durability ratings -
Rebtex sisal carpets are not chosen on eco-friendly tributes alone and in addition achieve the highest durability ratings from SABS. It is a documented fact that sisal fibres are the toughest natural fibre plants available.
- Natural Tannins -
It is an accepted fact that due to the woven structure, (As opposed to tufted/needle punched), woven carpets are easier to maintain. In addition to being woven, Sisal carpets contain natural tannins that are irritants to dust mites and therefore harbor less of these pests. Normal vacuum cleaning is required to maintain your carpets in excellent condition.
Commercial.
Maintenance in commercial installations is always a concern, no matter what the floor covering. As Sisal carpets are woven high level maintenance is achieved by regular vacuuming. A periodic and tailored maintenance programme will prolong the design life of your covering and preserve its original appearance.
Rebtex Fibregard
The concern of maintenance of floor-coverings against spills is a constant concern for any floor covering. In answering this need Rebtex developed the unique Rebtex Fibregard process:
"Unlike conventional treatments that only coat the top of the floor covering and tend to wash or wear away over time, the unique application method of the Rebtex Fibregard coats every individual fibre throughout the carpet. The benefit therefore is Rebtex Fibregard builds spill resistance into every fibre of the carpet to achieve unsurpassed durability, without sacrificing the natural breathability of the sisal". In the event of a spill Rebtex Fibregard buys those precious moments to blot up the spill before it becomes a stain.
CLEANING
Daily vacuuming is required to maintain your carpets. A thorough cleaning with a dry powder is recommended every 6 months, depending how much traffic it receives. Sprinkle the dry powder of a reputable brand on the carpet, leave for a while and vacuum.
